SaySoTalker is free and built by one parent, so this isn’t a promise list. It’s what we’re thinking about next. Real families and SLPs shape what actually gets built.
Things that are clearly worth doing and are near the front of the queue.
Change a button’s word, picture, or photo without deleting it and starting again. At the moment fixing a typo means making the button over, and for a photo button that means finding the photo again.
A button that plays a sample, so you can hear what a voice sounds like while you are choosing rather than after.
Your board on paper, for the times a device isn’t available (a flat battery, the swimming pool, a hospital ward), and for people who work with your child but don’t have the app.
Worth doing, less certain, and more likely to change shape before they are built, or to be dropped if nobody actually needs them.
A quick way for a grown-up to find which page a word is on, without going through the categories looking for it.
Separate boards for home and school, or for two children sharing a tablet, without one setup overwriting the other.
SaySoTalker is English only today. Other languages are a much bigger job than they look, because the words, the pictures, and the recorded voices all have to change together. It is still something we would like to reach.
If you use SaySoTalker with a child, or you are an SLP who has watched somebody use it, what you tell us matters more than anything on this page. A request from someone using it every day will jump the queue over an idea we thought of ourselves.
